She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. Brooks and Frances Orietta Wagner (Nelson); her husband Norman Duane "Pops" Crone; her stepson Duane A. Crone; her stepfather Cecil Wagner; and her siblings, Mildred Brennan, Myrtle Maxine McCuniff, Dorthea Underwood, Juanita Rainwater, Clarice "Ginger" McClain, Betty Louise Brooks and Francis Allen Brooks.
She is survived by: her children, Rodger Lee Brown (Lois), Raymond Gene Burpo of Martinsville, Richard Allen "Rick" Brown of Paragon, Randall Scott "Randy" Brown (Linda) of Mooresville, Jo Ellen Smith (Brian Dean) and Shellie Lynn Brown of Martinsville; and her stepson David Crone (Dawn) of Martinsville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
