He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer D. Lopossa and Mary E. Lopossa (Guthridge); his wife Carol Ann Lopossa (Steinway); and his siblings, Colletta "Peanut" Lopossa, Sharon Kay Lopossa, Marilyn "Midgie" Gibbs and Jerry Lopossa.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tondra Getz (Terry) of Bradenton, FL and Tracey Monce of Martinsville; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Lopossa of Texas, Jesse Benson (Courtney) of Florida, Justin Dalton of Martinsville and Mackenzi Dalton (Garrett Hedlund) of Martinsville. He is also survived by six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
