She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin Verle Kersey; her son Stephen Michael Kersey; her parents, James and Mauda; and her siblings, Thomas Terrell, Richard Terrell, Donald Terrell, Harry Terrell, William Terrell, John Terrell, James Terrell, Peggy King, Frances Lewis, Rosemary Thorn and Linda Jo Terrell.
She is survived by: her sons, Anthony Elmer "Tony" Kersey (Shirley) of Martinsville and Verle Allen Kersey, Sr. of Martinsville; her brother Robert Terrell of Martinsville; and her grandchildren, Mike Stuart, Mitch Waldo, Denise Ruble, Verle Kersey, Jr., Stephanie Kersey and Joshua Kersey. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.
