He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Scherer and Mary B. Scherer (Pierce); his wife Janice Scherer (Eggers); and his son Larry Scherer, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, David Carter, John Carter, Carla Waters, Tracy Nix, Remona Riffel, Bonnie Edwards and Melissa Scherer; and his siblings, Marion Scherer, Jerry Scherer, Robert Phillips (Sue) and Mary Flake. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; one great grandchild.
