She was predeceased by: her parents, Loris Hays and Katheryn Hays (Lavender); and her siblings, Jimmy Hays, Sue Wiley and Linda Kay Hays.
She is survived by: her son Jeff Porter of Martinsville; her grandson Derrick Jarrett of Martinsville; her great grandchild Mylee June Jarrett; her siblings, Dick Hays of Dover, DE, Sherry Lynn Buckley of Martinsville, IN and Donna Smith of Harmony, IN; her son-in-law Travis Proffitt of Martinsville; her grandson J. J. Steinway of Martinsville; and her daughters, Rhonda Bastin of Martinsville and Beth Ann Proffitt (Porter).
