He was predeceased by: his father James Oscar Moran Sr.; his son James Joseph Moran; and his siblings, James Oscar Moran Jr. and Ruby Violet Radwanski. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette (Menefee) of Martinsville; his daughters, Jodie Brittain (Brad) of Martinsville, Jennifer "Bear" Paul (Tim) of Martinsville and Jane Moran of Martinsville; his daughter-in-law Diana Moran of Martinsville; and his grandchildren, Heather Staggs (Kip), Jeff Anderson (Emily), Staci Ralph (Stevie), Jake Brittain, Gary Brittain (Kala), Joey Moran, Eric Moran (Robyn), Skylar Fleener (Jarod), Maggie Stratton (Ian), Holly and Sophie Paul. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
