He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Jacob "Pup" Tackett and Ruth Martel Mann (Long); his son Joshua David Tackett; his nephew David Voiles; and his grandson Aaron Malone.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Tackett of Martinsville; his sons, Bill Tackett (Justina) of Port Charlotte, FL, Jason Tackett of Martinsville, Jeremy Tackett of Martinsville, Jarrod Nees (Melody) of Coal City, Jake Neese of Brazil and Christopher Campbell (Jayme) of Bloomington; his brother David Miller (Marge) of Dunnellon, Florida; and his stepsons, Danny Malone of Martinsville, William "Buck" Ladigo (Misty) of Martinsville and Jonathan Ladigo of Martinsville. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
