It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Gore of Martinsville, Indiana, who passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Gregory and Sabrie Ella Gregory (Chandler); her husband James Monroe Gore, Jr.; her son James Monroe Gore III; her grandson John Timothy Gore; her son-in-law Andrew Taylor; and her siblings, Betty Glaze, Norman Gregory and James Gregory.
She is survived by: her children, John Gore of Bargersville, IN and Judy Ann Taylor of Grand Rapids, MI. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home (325 W Cedar St, Franklin, KY 42134). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Sulphur Spring Cemetery (2504 Sulphur Springs Church Rd, Franklin, KY 42134).
