He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerald Ray Button and Frances Button (Hart); his wife Vicki Ann Button (Berzinski); and his sisters, Dona Anthony and Edna Faye LaRusso.

He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Button (Darlene) of Morgantown, IN; his granddaughters, Jessica Elizabeth "Jessi" Button of Morgantown, IN and Jacquelyn Mackenzie "Jacqui" Button of Morgantown, IN; and his brother Steve Button of Indianapolis, IN..
