He was predeceased by: his parents, Peggy Hatfield and Wilburn Fleener; and his stepfather Doug Hatfield. He is survived by: his wife Karen Fleener of Martinsville; his sons, Scott Fleener of Muncie and Zach Fleener of Martinsville; and his siblings, Steve Fleener of Martinsville, Brian Fleener (Lisa) of Martinsville, David Fleener (Sharon) of Greenville, SC and Debbie Flake (Harold) of Plainfield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Martinsville Police Department's Clothe a Child Program; envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
