He is survived by: his children, Tina Burger of Martinsville, Julia Roe (Ron) of Martinsville and James Hicks Jr. of Martinsville; his siblings, Linda Shotts (Woody) of Martinsville, Harry "Butch" Hicks of Beech Grove and Norris Hicks (Denise) of Orlando, Florida; and his stepbrothers, Mike Grimes of Fort Wayne and Keith Grimes of Martinsville. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
