He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frederick and Louise M. Kindler (Holm). He is survived by: his wife Sharalyn Elaine Kindler (Wimmer); his children, Daniel Kindler, Eric Kindler and Cynthia Jones; his stepchildren, Jason Hupe (Jayma Kuhlman) and Sally Baker (Brian Baker); his grandchildren, Justine Jones (Austen Bell), Kendra Jones, Ian Jones (Cyrystal Jones), Ben Jones, Monica Hupe, Olivia Glenn (Derek Nelson), Elaine Helmick (Thomas Helmick) and Victoria Puckett (Jacob Puckett); and his great grandchildren, Rayden Helmick, Prudence Helmick, Jackson Puckett, Lucy Nelson and Phoebe Puckett.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
