He was predeceased by: his parents, John Basler and Mary Basler (Sutton); and his stepgranddaughter Simone Collins. He is survived by: his wife Kimberlee Basler (Casteel) of Martinsville; his children, Greg Basler of Danville, Steve Basler of Michigan, Brandon Basler of North Salem, Indiana, Ryan Watson of Shelbyville, Indiana, Eran Fitzwater of Shelbyville, Indiana and Megan Basler of Shelbyville, Indiana; his stepchildren, Brian Collins of California and Brittany Sitton of Franklin; his siblings, Wes Basler (Sharry) of Lebanon, Ron Basler of Michigantown, Indiana, Garnet Haste of Indianapolis, Bonnie Plummer (Micky) of Kentucky and Nancy Tibbett (Doug) of New Palestine, Indiana; and his half-sister Michelle (Dave) of Mitchell, Indiana. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and seven step grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (131 Robb Hill Rd, Martinsville, IN 46151).
