Gary Dean Latham Obituary
Gary Dean Latham, 64, of Martinsville passed from his earthly life in the comfort of his own home at 6:50 am on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. Gary was born in New Castle, Indiana, on Saturday, January 31, 1953 to the late Willard O. and Della Oma (Bell) Latham. He moved from Indianapolis to Martinsville in 2000 and had been attending the Apostolic Faith Church.
His years of failing health forced him to take early retirement from being a diesel mechanic and enjoying many of the things he loved. Luckily, he continued to fish on occasion and watch his favorite sport, WWE Wrestling. Gary will be missed by his family and friends including his Wife, Patricia Latham ; four sons, Gary Latham Jr., Brandon, Dean (wife, Jennifer) and Randy (wife, Jackie) Latham all of Indianapolis; three daughters, Chasity Latham and Kim Layton both of Indianapolis and Michelle (husband, Russell) Hess of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Roger and Kenny (wife, Jill) Latham both of Indianapolis; two sisters, Sharon Kay (husband, George) Utter of Martinsville and Debbie (husband, Clayton) Farris of Indianapolis; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Wayne, Johnny, Charles and Danny Latham and one infant child. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 12 Noon – 2:00 pm at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. Sister Pat Cook will conduct a service celebrating Gary's life beginning at 2:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home and he will be laid to rest in New South Park Cemetery.
