With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elfrieda R. Postel of Martinsville, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 27, 2024 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elfrieda R. Postel to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Gruss and Frieda Gruss (Kleiber); and her sisters, Violet (Joerger), Helene (Dobos) and Marge (Cosentino).
She is survived by: her husband Leroy R. Postel; her children, Chris Postel, Michael Postel (Kim), Sandy Postel, Tracy Postel (Lynn) and Pattie Postel (Jeanne); her grandchildren, Eric Postel (Alexandra), Sarah Postel, Ryan Postel (Stephanie) and Brandon Postel (Allison); and her great grandchildren, Austin Postel, Logan Postel, Emerson Postel and Everly Postel.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (1709 E Harrison St, Martinsville, IN 46151).
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Fritzi's favorite charity - St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
