She was predeceased by: her parents, William Shaw and Bennie Mae Shaw; her husband Rev. Raymond Eugene Means; her siblings, John Shaw, Earlene Shaw and Willie Mae Shaw; her grandson Jonathan B. M. Means; and her stepfather D. C. Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Rev. William E. Means (Brenda), Ronald W. Means (Tanya Prather), Jonathan D. Means (Kathy White), Michael S. Means (Adrianne), Debbie McGarr (Randy), Melinda Owens, Ginger Johnson and Kristie Means; and her sisters, Rebecca Jewel and Jo Lynn Holland. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
