She was predeceased by: her parents, James L. Stierwalt and Gloria Evelyn Stierwalt (Sykes); her husband David Fleener; and her brothers, Ronald, Daryl and Paul Stierwalt.
She is survived by: her pet Shelby; her daughters, Joann Stierwalt (Mark Williams), P. J. Fleener (Brent Green) of Paragon and Joy Stierwalt-Gott (Billy) of Mooresville; her goddaughter Tiffany Figley (Monty Grubbs) of Paragon; her stepdaughter Becky Parsons (Scott) of Monrovia; her close friend Brian Standish of Paragon; and her sisters, Donna Sue Baker of Martinsville, Diane Poteet of Monrovia, Dedee Rhea (Russ) of Eminence and Darla Brewer (Jeff) of Cloverdale. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
