He is survived by: his parents, David Lee Helms Sr. and Mildred Helms (Eggers); his wife Darlene Helms (Hatley); his children, David Bryant Helms of Camby, Christopher Michael Helms (Jaid) of Camby, Nathaniel C. W. Helms (Nicole) of Martinsville and Isabella D. R. Helms (Amanda Cox) of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Tyler, Alexis, Shelby, Michael, Charles, Sammy and Harper; and his pets, Willow, Gator, Salem and Bentley.
