He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Cox and Margie Cox (Brooks); his former wife Victoria; and his children, David and Diana.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his son Joe; his daughter-in-law Gina Hansen; his grandsons, Sam, Tommy and Luke; his brother Randolph (Karen); his nephew Jacob Cox; and his niece Jennifer Sanders (Jared).
