He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Keith and Barbara Keith (Ray); his wife Paula "Sue" Keith; his son Brian Keith Jr.; and his siblings, Gerald Keith, Rhea Woodall, Rhonda Keith, Rebecca Keith, Belinda Keith and Rynetta Keith.

He is survived by: his children, Chris Keith of Paragon, Michael Ligon of Paducah, Kentucky, Ashley Chapin (Greg) of Gosport, Heather Ligon of Paducah and Jennifer Hurley of Tennessee; and his brother Clarence "Robin" Keith (Diane) of Martinsville. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
