He was predeceased by: his father Michael J. McCartney; and his brothers, Michael Andrew and Scott Jay McCartney. He is survived by: his caregiver Tina McCartney of Martinsville; his brother Chris McCartney of Gosport; his nephews, Michael and Greyson McCartney; his niece Connie McCartney; and his stepchildren, Jonathon and Kaleena Hamilton of Martinsville. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
