He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lawhorn and Minnie Sharp Lawhorn; his daughter Marilyn Rivers; his son-in-law Dale Rivers; his siblings, James Marquis Lawhorn, Rodney Lawhorn, L. C. Lawhorn and Jane Carolyn Dowdy; and his brother-in-law Jerry Dowdy.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay Vandivier; his children, Tanya Owens (Ron) of Crawfordsville, Chuck Lawhorn (Melonie) of Rockville, Kelly Parker (Poe) of Crawfordsville, John Lawhorn (Maggie) of Marshall and Shannon Wilcox (Chris) of Rockville; his sister Helen Sims (Jim Bob) of Clinton; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Lawhorn of Knox, Barb Lawhorn of Bainbridge and Bob Vandivier of Missouri. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Barnes & Rice Funeral Home (111 E High St, Rockville, IN 47872). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
