He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Slone and Lizzie Slone (Shepherd); his wife Madelyn Kornmeyer; his son Dennis Slone; and his siblings, Bill Slone, Jimmy Slone, Bobby Joe Slone, Charles Slone, Osie Noblit, Alpha Jean Blevins, Irene Dickenson and Josephine Slone.
He is survived by: his children, Lora Roberts (Steve) of Huntington, Missy Vebert (Junior) of Huntington, Jo Slone of Huntington, Ruby Jones of Huntington, Earl Slone, Jr. (Andrea) of Fort Wayne, Mike Slone of Andrews and Mitch Slone of Huntington; and his sister Janet Sue Griffith of Tekonsha, MI. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
