It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth E. Sheward of Marion, Indiana, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Purvis and Helen Purvis (Shaffer); her son Billy Joe Sheward; and her siblings, Francis Purvis, William Purvis, Robert Purvis, Eddie Purvis, Dewayne Purvis, Betty Purvis, Catherine Kendall and Helen Purvis.
She is survived by: her children, Lissa Bougher (Larry) of Marion, David Sheward (Teresa) of Marion, Gregory Sheward (Lisa) of Marion and Bryan Sheward (Jennifer) of Wabash; and her siblings, Dixie Benfield of Marion and Ralph Purvis (Sharon) of Warren. She is also survived by 8 grandsons; 11 great-grandsons; 3 great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
