With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald Thompson of Marion, Indiana, born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who passed away on June 29, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, DeOrr S. Richardson and Mary P. Candy Thompson Richardson; his wife Cathy E. Haynes Thompson; his parents-in-law, Barbara Stewart, Paul Cunningham, Jim Stewart and Robert Haynes; his grandsons, Isiah and Joshua; and his close friend Danny Enyeart.

He is survived by: his children, Aimee Carter (Chris), Ron Thompson Jr. and Ashlee Wright; his grandchildren, Michael Thompson (Kristen), Alyssa Eakins (Matt), Alaynee Swygart (Tommy), Jessalyn Riddle (Matt), Hadlee Thompson, Justice McClure, Samara Thompson, Anthony Howell (AJ), Johnathon Thompson, Adrian Wright and Andrew Wright; his great grandchildren, Ryder Eakins, Alivia Riddle, Lexington Swygart, Onias Thompson, Rylynn Eakins, Phoenyx Thompson, Arya Dorsey, Addilynn Eakins, Brantley Eakins, Aviree Riddle and Madilyn Riddle; his adoptive children, Leah Woolsey, Lynnette Thompson, Calvin Brown and Shane Mundy; his sisters, Joan Welch and Janet Leech (Ronald); his niece Rhonda Rapsinski; his siblings-in-law, Tammi Cunningham and Mike Haynes (Debi); his close friends, Valerie and Erik Enyeart; and his caregivers, Richie, Kim King, Jamie Lang, Mike, Courtney and Jennifer.
