With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred J. Shannon in Marion, Indiana, who passed away on December 11, 2024 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mildred J. Shannon to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Raymond Davis and Billie Dexter Davis; her children, Janice Sue Lowe Fetz and Michael Allen Smith; and her brother Charles R. Davis (Beverly).
She is survived by: her husband Leland Ray Shannon; her children, Rae Jean Shannon and Bill Butler (Pam); and her nieces and nephews, Cleo Burgard, Chuck Davis (Darlene) and Cheryl Plummer (Jim). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home (1202 W Kem Rd, Marion, IN 46952). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the Grant Memorial Park Cemetery (1606 W 26th St, Marion, IN 46953).
