She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" James; her sons, William D. James and Gregory Alan James; her grandsons, Greg Cole and Jason Morgan; and her brother-in-law Myron Stanton.

She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Anthony (Lynn) of Marion and David James (Ellen) of Marion; her daughter-in-law Lori James of Marion; her sister Barbara Stanton of Buford, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Bill James (Stacy), Jennifer King (JD Ross), Brianna Logan (Andy Jones), Julie Holloway, Jayna Wheeler (Stevie), Julie Morgan, Brandon Anthony (Jessica), Trisha Whiteley (Brad), April Martindale, Kristen LeFavour (Noah) and Laura James (Will Wortman). She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
