It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Sahm Liddy of Marion, Indiana, who passed away on February 12, 2023, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Sahm and Mary Sahm (Martin Liddy); and her siblings, Rita Anne Bassett and Ted Sahm. She is survived by: her children, Mark Liddy (Debbie) of Indianapolis, Mary Anne Deaton (David) of Henderson, NV, Madonna Phelan (Kevin) of Boynton Beach, FL, Matthew Liddy of Indianapolis and Martina Burkhart (Joe Haigerty) of McCordsville, IN.. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers her family requests donations to be made in her memory to St. Augustine Home for the Aged, 2345 W. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46260.

“Mary Elizabeth was such a kind and funny woman. She worked as a devoted Secretary for my Dad Gene Henderson for many years at Henderson Daily law firm. When I was in High School and College I also worked at the law firm. Mary Elizabeth was a kind and loving friend to me and so many others. She called my Dad the big Kahuna or Mr Henderson. I loved her. She was always talking about her family and because of that, I felt liked I knew them. I think about her often - She will be missed.”
