Margaret E. Bowlds McCain Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret E. Bowlds McCain of Marion, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Bowlds, Sr. and Elizabeth Jane Bowlds (Nukes); her husband Samuel L. McCain; her sons, Michael J. McCain and Donald E. McCain; and her siblings, Michael Joseph Bowlds, Sr., Richard "Chopper" Eugene Bowlds, Rebecca Ann Bowlds, Carolyn Bowlds and Aurelia LaVernia "Vernie" Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Thelma Elizabeth, Liz, Williams of Moreno Valley, CA, Theresa Lynn McClung (Jesse) of Indianapolis, Mary Katherine Lockett (Henry) of Louisville, KY, Kenneth Gregory "Kemac" McCain of Lake Elsinore, CA and Phillip Ray "Bunk" McCain of Marion; her siblings, Lawrence A. "Sony Rab" Bowlds (Jacklyn) and Katherine "Kat" D. Adams of Marion; and her close friends, Linda Bobson and Annie Bryant. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Greater Second Baptist Church (705 W 26th St, Marion, IN 46953). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
