He was predeceased by: his parent Ruby H. Pate (Gibson); his daughter Lolita Blue; and his sister Vernita Williams. He is survived by: his children, Maurice, Marcus Ferguson, Viva Brown and Rochelle White Jackson (Johnny); his sisters, Gwen Cook and Katrina Maye; and his stepchildren, Anthony, Rodney, James Carothers, Lorraine Robinson and Delfred Merritt (Melaina). He is also survived by five grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
