It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lupe G. Herrera of Marion, Indiana, born in Coleman, Texas, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cirilo Herrera and Margarita Herrera (Guillen); his son Nati Herrera; and his siblings, Maria of Carmen Cabral, Juan Herrera (Janie) and Modesto Herrera.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Meza; his children, Mo Herrera of Seattle, WA, Joe Herrera (Belinda) of Converse, Maggie Perez (Juan) of Churubusco, Lisa Harris (Bryan) of Cicero and Amanda Herrera of Marion; and his siblings, Catalina Rodriguez, Manuel Herrera (Estefana), Trinidad Herrera Retana, Julianna Garcia (Eloy), Inez Serrato and Josephina Herrera Vretado. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lupe's name to the Sweetser (Pleasant Township) Volunteer Fire Department, 104 W. Delphi Pike, Sweetser, IN 46987.
