She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Morrell and Dorothy Wallace (White); her husband John Childress; and her stepsiblings, Wayman Morrell, Leroy Morrell, Jr. and Pam Morrell.
She is survived by: her children, Terri L. Smith (Phillip) of Marion, Ericka Childress of Indianapolis, Christopher Childress and Shannon Childress; her grandchildren, Eris Wallace, Brittney Smith, Richard Smith, Corey Childress, Tyler Childress, Lorenzo Smith and Shalynn Childress; her siblings, Gertrude Tuggle of Jacksonville, FL and Larry Wallace of Indianapolis; and her siblings-in-law, Wendy Jones of Indianapolis, Helen Barbee of Indianapolis, Cheryl Perrien (Robert) and Frank Childress. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
