John David Hughes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John David Hughes of Marion, Indiana, who passed away on December 12, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval D. Hughes and Thelma L. Hughes (Hutchens); his daughter Nellie May Hughes; his brother Fred Hughes (Dorothea); his sons, Henry Todd Hughes and Michael L. Hughes; his daughter-in-law Tina Hughes; and his brother-in-law Paul "Mossy" Rogers.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca S. Hughes (Tesdahl) of Marion; his son John D. Hughes, Jr. of Marion; his granddaughter Catrina Hughes of Marion; and his siblings, Tom Hughes (Cindy) of LaFontaine and Janet Rogers of Marion. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sims Wesleyan Church (309 N Main St, Swayzee, IN 46986).
