He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Cottrell and Garnett "Betty" Cottrell (Taylor); his wife Brenda K. Peterson; and his sisters, Brenda Cottrell and Delores Agee.
He is survived by: his sons, Chris Cottrell (Michelle) of Marion, Shaun Logan (Angela) of Kokomo, Brandon Peterson (Holly) of Gas City and Jesse Paul Moore; his grandchildren, Taylor, Dylon, Rilynn, Michael, Jessilynn, Nevaeh, Sophie, Schyler, Kaidence, Noah, Braydon, Chase and Alexia; and his siblings, Barry Cottrell (Debbie), Larry Cottrell (Faye), Ann Pitcher (late Dennis), Jessica "Tinker" Cottrell (Jim), Melva Murphy and Margret "Peanut" Cripps (late Jack). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel (1341 N Baldwin Ave, Marion, IN 46952). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
