He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Frank" Hogston and Mable Lavonne Hogston (Betty Eileen); his brothers, Richard "Dickie" Hogston and David Eugene Hogston; and his brother-in-law Bob Palmer.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Sarah Hogston (Williams) of Marion, IN; his children, Doris Purtlebaugh (Dennis) of Bloomington, IN, Karen Stephan of Andrews, IN, Howard Hogston (DeAnn) of Bluffton, IN, Robert A. Hogston of Iowa Colony, TX, Larry F. Hogston of Fort Wayne, IN, Jenny L. Hogston of Fort Wayne, IN, Patty Smith of Navarre, FL, Erma Jean Fields (Jeff) of Florence, SC and Rebecca Weisheit of New Haven, IN; and his sister Mary Palmer of Van Buren, IN. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
