He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry W. Carter and Ruth Carter (Duckworth). He is survived by: his wife Cathey Sours; his daughters, Mary Messick Romanko (Paul) of Massachusetts, Ashli Messick Mashburn (Ray) of Arkansas, Sara Carter Lane (Stephen) of Arkansas and Emily Carter Jackson (David) of Arkansas; and his grandson Jaxon Romanko of Massachusetts. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
