She was predeceased by: her parents, Jean Cole (Davis) and Delbert Furnish, Sr.; her husband William Byrd, Sr.; her daughter Pamela Newman; her grandsons, Joe Byrd and Richard "Ricky" Byrd; and her siblings, Delbert Furnish, Jr. and Ruth Murphree.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Byrd of Marion, George Byrd of Fairmount, William Byrd, Jr., Emma Jean Hanlon of Lake Worth, FL and Teresa Marie Horine (Stuart) of Marion; her sisters, Phyllis Murray, Carolyn Hoover and Margaret Disinger; and her half-brother Brett Furnish (Sherry) of Gas City. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
