He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Koontz and Julia L. Koontz (Yarber); his siblings, Ann Lidy, Johnny Koontz and William Koontz; and his brother-in-law Christopher Columbus.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki D. Koontz (Downey) of Marion, IN; his daughters, Stacey Koontz and Cassandra Morton (Will); his brother Stanley (Lisa); his siblings-in-law, Don Lidy, Connie Columbus of Marion, IN and Sandy Miller (Richard) of Marion, IN; and his close friend Chris Blackburn. He is also survived by several Nieces & Nephews.
