It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bill Lane of Marion, Indiana, who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelly Lane, Sr. and Sadie M. Estep (Moore); his granddaughter Kristi Lane; his great grandchild Lily Lane; and his siblings, Howard Lane, Buster Lane, Jean Lucas and Joan Hill.
He is survived by: his children, Ed Lane (Diane) of Milmine and Karen Volk (Todd) of North Manchester; his grandchildren, Scott Lane of Milmine, Casey Lane (Nicole) of North Manchester, Todd Dale (Mandy) of Butler, Jason Dale (Ashley) of North Manchester, Brandon Volk (Meghann) of North Manchester, Elysia Volk of Warsaw and Amber Earl (Al) of Gladwin; his brother Dan Lane (Judy) of Wabash; and his close friend Janice McCool of Marion. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service (1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash, IN 46992). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the Mississinewa Cemetery.
