He was predeceased by: his parents, Epifano Velasquez and Katherine Velasquez. He is survived by: his wife Cova A. I. Velasquez; and his siblings, Danny Velasquez, Mary Hartley of Marion and Josephine Schuller of Marion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
