He is survived by: his wife Almeda V. Hurst; his children, Tom Hurst (Nola) of Jasper, Jon Hurst of Dale and Jodi Hurst of Mariah Hill; his grandchildren, Tyler, Cole Gehlhausen and Drew Hurst; his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Cy Gehlhausen; his siblings, Clarence Hurst of Huntingburg, August Hurst (Gail) of Jasper, Betty Berth, Kathy Buechlein (Dennis) and Dorothy Mehringer (Vernon); and his brother-in-law Don Jacob.
