She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Satterly and Mary Ethel Meyers (Palmer); her husband James A. Powell Sr.; her siblings, Marvin, Walter, James, Raymond Satterly, Pearl, Marie, Geneva and Eliza; and her grandson James Edward Fentress Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Veronica Pierce (Stacy) of Radcliffe, Kentucky, James A. Powell Jr. (Bobbi) of Dubois, Frannie A. Williams of Marengo, Debbie Powell (Denise Harp) of Marengo, Indiana and Laura Mitchaner of Indianapolis; and her siblings, Charles Satterly of Arizona and Juanita Sciullo of Gulf Port, Florida. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
