He was predeceased by: his parents, Bailey Roberts and Pearl Riley Roberts; and his siblings, George L., Charles Roberts, Juanita Zehr, Betty Heitz and Ruth Ann Sanders.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Ann Satterfield; and his children, Lori Padgett of Corydon, Indiana, Keith Roberts (Carol) of Holland, Donald Roberts Jr. of Pensacola and Michael Roberts of Jeffersonville, Indiana.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
