He was predeceased by: his parents, Knofel Key and Alice Key (Bowman); his spouse Billie Key (Byrum); his brother Donnie Key; his daughter Sherry Baldwin; and his granddaughter Alexis Butler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Comer (Danny) of Valeene and Beth Butler (Jeff) of Corydon; his son-in-law Ronnie Baldwin of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Vicky (Jim Bowe), Josh (Andrea Grunden), Samantha Wilcox of Oklahoma, Jennifer (Jason Brooks), Courtney Besecker of New Albany, Kylee (Kevin Caudill) and Kaitlyn Butler (Lynsey Butler) of Indianapolis; and his great grandchildren, Landon, Zoey Wigginton, Isabella, Arianna, Carson Besecker, Gaby, Gracie Mills, Ella, Josslyn Grunden, Zachary Icard, Dawson Peaks and Hunter Shumate.
