He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Stephens and Myrtle Stephens (Jackson); his wife Bonnie Stephens; his grandson Carriag Bailon; and his siblings, Ronny, Grover, Gary Stephens and Geneva Breeden.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Stephens of Louisville and Michelle Stephens (Jesse Sizemore) of Madison; his grandchildren, Ryan Linville and Nicholas Stephens; and his siblings, Phyllis Stephens of Madison, Vickie Stephens Banks of Hanover, Indiana and Michael Stephens (Renie) of Madison.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Jefferson County Veterans Council. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
