She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Simmons and Wanda Gray Simmons; her adoptive father Robert Simmons; her brothers, Randall Wayne Scott and Kenneth Wayne "Rod" Simmons; and her grandparents, Gilbert E., Evelyn R. Lane Gray, Robert and Lorraine Simmons.
She is survived by: her husband Stephen Whitham; her children, Sydney Waldon (David) of Madison, Indiana, Jesse Whitham of Madison and Luke Whitham of Madison, Indiana; her stepmother Elaine Simmons of Holton, Indiana; her grandchildren, Aleister Whitham and Maeve Waldon; her stepdaughter Brandi Merkle (Doug) of Napolean, Indiana; her stepgrandchildren, Teaha Merkle and Kara Merkle; her siblings, Sandy Brown (Grant) of Versailles, Indiana and James Robert Simmons (Rachel) of Vevay, Indiana; and the father of her children Stephen Whitham. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.
