He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Vaughn and Elizabeth M. Woodsmall Vaughn; his wife Jenny Lynne Graham Vaughn; and his siblings, Charles Herman Vaughn, Donald Joseph Vaughn, Raymond Francis Vaughn, Richard Lee Vaughn and Anna Elizabeth "Betty" Vaughn Dixon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elissa Vaughn McGauley (John) of Fort Wayne and Jill Vaughn Whaley (Kevin) of Plainfield, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jenna Whaley, Emily Whaley and Laurel McGauley; and his sisters-in-law, Martha Vaughn of Madison and Carol Vaughn of Milton, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
