She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcus McCarty and Effie Margaret McCarty (Burton); her husband Marvin G. Wise, Sr.; her son Jermey Romans; and her siblings, Rollan McCarty, Delmar McCarty, Kenneth McCarty, Abner McCarty, Glen McCarty, Junior McCarty, Thurman McCarty, Mozella McCarty and Wanda Banks.
She is survived by: her son Howard Jason Romans of Madison; her stepchildren, Carrie Ray of Greensburg, Connie Wise of Hanover, Michelle Newby of Bedford and Marvin Wise, Jr. of Columbus, Indiana; and her siblings, Athalene Stewart of Madison, Loretha Baker of New Philadelphia, Verna Walters of Elkton, Luke McCarty of Milton and Jerry McCarty of Madison. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
