He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Higgins and Edith Faye Higgins (Sailor); his wife Beverly Higgins; and his siblings, Herman Higgins, Lawrence Higgins, Charles Higgins and Eve Joan Higgins Baxter.
He is survived by: his children, Kenny Higgins (Brenda) of Madison, Debbie Leathermon (Keith) of Madison, Chris Higgins (Anne) of Madison and Tracie Higgins of Madison; his sisters, Rosemary Sullivan (Bill) of Madison and Caroline Tevis of Hanover; his siblings-in-law, Donna Higgins of Fortville, Indiana and Randy Thornton of Columbus, Indiana; his stepfather-in-law Larry Courtney (Leona) of Carrollton, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Jennifer Hall (Dave), Josh Higgins (April), Bethany Geyman (Ryan), Luke Higgins and Claire Higgins; his great grandchildren, Courtnee, Olivia, Jackson, Dylan, Landon, Kaedon, Jaxson, Hunter, Gavin, Kole and Maylee; and his pets, Rosie and Kit Kat.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
