It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Elston Linkmeyer of Madison, Indiana, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude "Dot" Baxter Elston and Joseph Perry Elston; her uncle Jim; her aunt Shirley Weber; her husband Bob Linkmeyer; her siblings, Gerald Elston, Wayne Elston and Maxine Elston Moderau; her brothers-in-law, Herman J. Moderau and Grady L. Harrell; her nieces, Michele Moderau Clark and Kimberly Elston Pettit; her nephew Gary Wayne Elston; and her grandparents, Lafayette and Minnie Baxter.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Linkmeyer (Tammy) of Laconia, Indiana, Cindy Heitz (Markt) of Madison and Amy Noah (Brian) of Brookville, Indiana; her sister Rosalind Elston Harrell of Madison, Indiana; her sister-in-law Patsy Elston of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Christy (David), Sara (Brandon), Kayla (Josh), Clinton and Xavier; and her great grandchildren, Delaney, Dillan, Jackson, Benson, Annie and Henry. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre (325 Demaree Dr, Madison, IN 47250). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, Jefferson County Red Cross, or Easter Seals.
